Music Ministries
Adult Choir

The Adult Choir offers members of the parish 18 or older who enjoy vocal music the opportunity to share that joy with others during Sunday Mass. The purpose of the Adult Choir is to enhance the liturgy with song and lead the congregation in lifting their voices in song. The choir practices every Tuesday during the scholl year at 7:30 PM and sings at one Mass a month as well as on Christmas, during Holy Week and on Holy Days.

Folk Choir

Anyone who wants to sing or can play an instrument is welcome to join the Folk Choir. The Folk Choir's goal is to help increase the congregation's participation in the celebration of the Mass through the use of vocal music. With its roots based in folk music, this group welcomes singers and musicians of all talent levels. Primarily singing melody, members of this group can quickly pick up on the songs during weekly Thursday evening practice. The Folk Choir leads the congregation during the 10:15 Sunday Mass.

Life Teen Music Group

GOD ROCKS! If you are a teen and like to sing or play any instrument. or ever wanted to "join a band," the Life Teen Music Group is for you. The group offers aspiring musicians and vocalists the opportunity to practice their skills while making friends and serving the parish in a music ministry. The group practices once a week and "rocks" monthly at an 11:30 AM Mass. We welcome all teens from all of the local parishes.

Contemporary Music Group

This group is for those in the parish - age 18 to 35 -who have some experience with an organized music group. The group will practice every other Saturday for about an hour just before the vigil Mass and then lead the congregation in song during that Eucharistic Celebration. If you are musically inclined and want fun, fellowship, and the ability to worship and share your talents with other young adults, this is the group for you.

Cantors

Cantors lead the faithful in song during liturgical celebrations. Any vocalist, high school age or older, can assist in this important ministry. Some preparation time is necessary to ensure that the Cantor knows all of the hymns that will be sung during the Mass as well as the Responsorial Psalm and the Gospel Acclamation. Assistance is available in learning these pieces and Cantors can request the specific Masses when they would like to lead the congregation.
